Animal Care Technician

NAHS is seeking an energetic, team player to become a part of our animal care staff. Candidates must have excellent people skills, as well as a love for animals.

The Animal Care Technician position involves animal care, cleaning, intake and assessment in addition to working with the public to do adoptions. This position would average 20 hours per week and would include some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, ability to read/write/communicate English, ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 75 pounds and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. It is strongly desired for candidates to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and prior experience in animal handling and communication. Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus.
