Welcome to the Naperville Area Humane Society, a great place to adopt a dog or cat, but also a great resource for petcare information! Our Humane Education programs include after-school events and support for Youth at Risk. Community Services include our Behavior Helpline and Pet Therapy. NAHS is a great place to volunteer your services, whether it be caring for the animals, fundraising events or community outreach..

Waldorf

I arrived at the shelter with my brother, Statler, when our owner got a new roommate who was allergic to cats. We've been making ourselves useful in the NAHS lobby, but would really prefer to find a loving home. I enjoy taking naps, playing with feathers and giving kitty kisses. Kids in my new home should be old enough to know that although I love to play, sometimes I need some quiet time too!

Ginger

I came all the way from Oklahoma with a litter of six puppies. Now that I'm done raising my babies, I'd really like to find a loving home to call my own. I'm very exuberant and have a lot of energy, so my new family should be ready to work on my training with me. I'm very smart and learn quickly with treats! I hope you'll stop by to see me - I promise to give you a wet, sloppy kiss!

Protect Your Pet & Support NAHS

ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Also, every time a completed application for ShelterCare program is generated through our shelter's website, we automatically receive a $25 donation!

Support NAHS while shopping and dining in downtown Naperville. If you purchase items at select downtown Naperville busineses, they will donate a portion of your purchase to NAHS! There's one catch: you must ASK for the Heart of Downtown form and select NAHS from the six non-profits.
