Welcome to the Naperville Area Humane Society, a great place to adopt a dog or cat, but also a great resource for petcare information! Our Humane Education programs include after-school events and support for Youth at Risk. Community Services include our Behavior Helpline and Pet Therapy. NAHS is a great place to volunteer your services, whether it be caring for the animals, fundraising events or community outreach..
New for Adoption
Sable
I'm a quiet girl looking for a home that matches my personality. I was in a foster home with my 5 babies, and I was much happier there. It was calm and quiet with lots of nice windows that would allow me to gaze at the birds. But, here I am back at the shelter. Wow, it's a lot louder than that nice home. If you'd like to share your warm, quiet home with me, that would be fabulous. I would prefer to be the only pet in the house because I'm a little on the nervous side. Kids in my new home should be older. I think I might be scared of the little ones.
Do you think you can tire me out? I have energy to burn! People say that a lot about one dog or another, but it's the honest truth about me. My breed mix should be a clue that I'm extremely smart and would like to be busy all the time. Need a running partner? Great. Thought about doing agility training with a dog, but couldn't find the right one? I'm your guy. I need puzzles to do and games to play. If I don't get what I need in a new home, I'll find my own things to do-- you might not be happy with what I choose! I'm the life of the party!
ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Also, every time a completed application for ShelterCare program is generated through our shelter's website, we automatically receive a $25 donation!
